On July 27 at 8:22 AM, officers responded to the Markhams Grant Apartments located in the 15700 block of Tassleford Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, a 24-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim before throwing a hammer towards the victim. The victim was able to avoid being struck and left the residence. While outside, the accused threw the hammer from an upstairs balcony again, almost striking the victim, who was able to move to avoid being struck. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Roxanne Elizeth COREAS, was arrested.
