On March 25 at 10:01 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15500 block of Skiff Ct. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck and slammed her to the ground before getting on top of her. While pinned to the ground, the accused wrapped his arm around the victim’s throat. When the victim attempted to contact the police, the accused separated from the victim and fled the area. The victim ran to a neighbor’s house and contacted the police. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Eric Alexander FLORES. On March 26, the accused was located and arrested in Anne Arundel County Maryland and brought to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center where he will remain in custody until extradited to Virginia.
