On July 20 at 10:55 PM, officers responded to the 16800 block of Nuttal Oak Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an armed carjacking. The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old man, was approached by two unknown men after parking his vehicle in the above area. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a firearm before demanding the victim exit the vehicle. The victim got out of the vehicle and the suspects fled the area. The victim was not injured and went to a nearby apartment where police were contacted. While checking the area, officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a vehicle stop. The driver of the vehicle disregarded the officer’s emergency equipment and continued driving. The officers pursued the vehicle onto Deweys Run Ln. where the driver of the vehicle stopped, and the two suspects fled on foot. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. A cell phone was reported missing from the vehicle. Both suspects are described as tall black males wearing hooded tops.
