On September 19 at 6:28 PM, officers responded to the 15100 block of Blackburn Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 39-year-old man, arranged to sell an unknown individual a phone via a social media app. While the victim was in the parking lot of Rippon Middle School, he was approached by the buyer and another unknown male, both of whom were possibly juveniles. Before the transaction was completed, the buyer, who was in possession of the phone at the time, implied he had a weapon and threatened the victim. Both suspects then fled the area on foot and the victim contacted the police. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 and helicopter assistance from Fairfax County police searched the area for the suspects who were not located.
Suspect Descriptions: Both suspects were light skinned black males, approximately 5’7”, with skinny builds
