On March 11 at 2:55 PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Porter Traditional School located at 15311 Forest Grove Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) on the evening of March 10. The investigation revealed that sometime between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM the victim, a 12-year-old boy, was at the outdoor basketball courts on the school’s property when he was approached by an unknown male juvenile, later identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s jacket. The accused then brandished a knife when the victim attempted to retrieve the jacket. The accused fled the area on his bicycle. No injuries were reported. The incident was reported to the school the following morning notified the police prompting the investigation. While investigating, officers identified the accused as a 13-year-old boy and on March 21, the accused was arrested.
