On June 21 at 2:33 PM, officers responded to the 5500 block of Staples Mill Plaza in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22-year-old man, reported to police he and an acquaintance agreed to meet in the above area. The victim parked in the parking lot and the acquaintance arrived in a white hatchback-style vehicle. During the encounter, the acquaintance got into the vehicle with the victim before an unknown individual entered the backseat of the victim’s vehicle and placed an object, believed to be a firearm, to the back of the victim’s head. The acquaintance also brandished a firearm toward the victim before demanding his property. The acquaintance and suspect then exited the vehicle with the victim’s property and got into the white vehicle before fleeing the area. The victim also left the area and contacted the police. No injuries were reported, and no shots were fired during the incident. Money, clothing, and toiletries were reported missing.
