On October 4 at 10:59 PM, officers responded to Potomac Vista Apartments located in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 30-year-old man, arranged to sell a laptop computer to an unknown individual via a social media app. While in the above area, the victim was approached by the buyer, possibly a juvenile, and a second unknown man. Before the transaction was completed, the buyer brandished a firearm towards the victim. The buyer took a bag containing the laptop before he and the other man fled on foot. No injuries were reported. At no point during the incident were shots fired.
