On August 8 at 11:36 PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Westgate Plaza located in the 10400 block of Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed the victim, a 29-year-old man, arranged to meet an acquaintance, identified as the accused, behind a business in the above area. During the encounter, the accused physically struck the victim with a firearm which caused him to temporarily lose consciousness. The victim later woke inside the accused’s vehicle. While in the area of Lucasville Rd., the accused took the victim’s money before driving back to Westgate Plaza where the victim encountered police who were patrolling in the area. Rescue personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Cody Dominique STRINGER, who was arrested on August 9 without incident.
