On August 4 at 10:15 AM, officers responded to the 8000 block of Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. Upon arriving in the parking lot of the above area, officers observed a man, later identified as the accused, matching the description provided to police. Officers determined the accused was involved in the reported incident and detained him. The investigation into the domestic revealed the victim, a 21-year-old woman, and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim before the victim went into a local business where the police were contacted. Officers encountered the accused as he began walking away from the parking lot. The victim reported minor injuries. When officers attempted to take the accused into custody, he actively resisted and pushed an officer before fleeing on foot. Officers pursued the accused a short distance and after a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Javon Gregory SALMON, was arrested.
