On August 14, while investigating the larceny that was reported to have occurred in the 1200 block of Easy St. in Woodbridge (22191), officers were informed of an additional larceny. The investigation into the second larceny revealed the accused entered the fenced area of Jairo’s Autobody located at 1280 Easy St. sometime between 11:00 PM on August 13 and 9:00 AM on August 14. While inside the fenced area, the accused used a hammer to smash the window on a side door to gain entry into the business. The accused took multiple items, including power tools, before getting into an unlocked Honda Civic. The accused then drove the Civic through the fence, which knocked a section of the fence down. Later that day, the unoccupied vehicle was located and recovered at a nearby business. Officers determined the key to the Civic was one of the items the accused, identified as Kender Roberth VELASQUEZ, was found in possession of earlier that day. In addition, items reported missing from both locations were located inside the vehicle. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the VELASQUEZ suspect who was served while at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center where he is currently incarcerated.
