On March 8 at 5:30PM, officers responded to the intersection of Dale Blvd. and Potomac Center Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a two-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a vehicle, later identified as the accused, was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle. No injuries were reported from the crash. During the investigation, officers determined the accused was intoxicated and attempted to detain her. While being detained, the accused actively resisted. After a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody. As officers were escorting the accused to a police vehicle, she kicked an officer. The accused was re-secured and placed into the vehicle without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Yanina Lulay BERRY, was arrested.
