On June 3 at 10:11 PM, officers responded to the Summerland Heights Apartments located in the 13500 block of Cridercrest Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 31-year-old woman, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a firearm and brandished it toward the victim. At that point, the victim left the residence and contacted the police. Officers responded to the residence where they encountered the accused and took him into custody. During a search, the accused kicked an officer before being re-secured without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alberto MOOTOO, was arrested.
