On August 25 at 3:02 AM, officers responded to the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center [ADC] located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault on a staff member. The investigation revealed an inmate of the facility, identified as the accused, was cleaning a room inside the facility, when he threw a mop at an ADC officer, striking the officer. The ADC officer reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified James Jefferson MARSHALL, was charged and remained incarcerated at the ADC.
