On October 10 at 8:38 PM, officers responded to the 7400 block of Old Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate an attempted robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 46-year-old man, was exiting a business in the above area when he was approached and propositioned by an unknown woman, later identified as the accused. The victim refused and continued walking to his vehicle in the parking lot where he then encountered an unknown man who inquired about money. The victim ignored the man and got into his vehicle, at which point, the accused stood in front of the vehicle preventing the victim from leaving while the first male suspect, and a second unknown man, approached the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle. The initial suspect then threw an unknown liquid on the victim and his vehicle while the second suspect brandished a firearm. Bystanders witnessed the incident and yelled at the suspect who then fled on foot. No injuries were reported, and no property was taken. Responding officers located the accused, and another woman, nearby and where she was detained without further incident. The other woman was not identified as being involved in the incident. The two male suspects were not located. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jasmine Irene WASHINGTON, was arrested. The investigation continues as officers attempt to identify and locate the other two men involved. The investigation continues.
