On August 26 at 4:14 PM, officers responded to Checks Cashed located at 7426 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation. Upon arriving at the business, officers observed a dent in the front window and a stone on the ground. Video surveillance revealed a man, later identified as the accused, attempted to gain entry into the business with the stone. The accused was unable to make entry into the business and fled on foot. While checking the area, officers located the accused, who matched the description from the video surveillance. The accused immediately fled upon officers attempting to make contact with him. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was located a short distance away. After a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody without further incident. The accused was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alexander Noel JIMENEZ, was arrested. The accused was also wanted on several charges from an unrelated incident.
