On May 19 at 11:28 PM, officers responded to the 7- Eleven located at 13304 Occoquan Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted assault. The victim, a 30-year-old man, reported to police that while in the parking lot, he and the driver of a vehicle parked in the parking lot, later identified as the accused, were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the altercation, the accused retrieved a knife got out of the vehicle and attempted to stab the victim who ran into the store and contacted the police. The accused fled on foot prior to police arriving at the location. No injuries were reported. While investigating, the accused returned to the area where he was taken into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gabriel Humberto LEMUS-GALICIA, was arrested.
