Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – 15100 block of Potomac Town Pl. in Woodbridge VA

On May 14 at 1:10PM, officers responded to the 15100 block of Potomac Town Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The victim, an 18-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated while in the parking lot of the above area. During the encounter, the accused locked the victim out of the vehicle. When the victim attempted to enter the vehicle using a metal chair, the accused took the chair and struck the victim with it. The victim then got into the driver’s side of the vehicle and attempted to leave. At that point, the accused pulled the victim by the hair. A witness intervened, and the two parties were separated. The accused drove out of the area prior to police arriving at the location. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Tysante Parish COY. Later that evening, members of the Virginia State Police located the accused and took him into custody without incident.
