On May 25 at 9:07 AM, officers responded to investigate an attempted burglary that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 12800 block of Lockleven Ln. in Woodbridge (22192) on May 24. The homeowner reported to police that at approximately 9:00 PM, a loud noise was heard near the front door. Upon checking the home, the homeowner did not see anyone or any damage. The following morning, the homeowner observed the front door was tampered with and an unoccupied vehicle in the driveway was damaged. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the vehicle through the rear driver’s side door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
