On May 1 at 4:15 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Silvia Lp. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at approximately 5:00 AM that morning, multiple loud noises were heard near the front door. When the homeowner opened the door, nothing was located. Video surveillance revealed that an unknown individual walked up to the door and repeatedly shook the door handle before leaving. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported damaged.
