Attempted Trespassing on a School Bus – 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries VA

On September 13 at 4:52 PM, officers responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an incident involving Prince William County public school bus. The investigation revealed the bus was stopped and attempting to unload students in the above area when a group of individuals got into a verbal altercation with the bus driver. During the encounter, the bus driver attempted to close the door. At that time, one of the individuals, later identified as the accused, began knocking on the bus door. When the bus driver did not respond, the accused then struck the glass door several times and attempted to open the door. At that point, the bus driver began to drive away. The accused held on to the handle of the door as the bus drove down the roadway. When the accused let go, he fell to the ground and was struck in the lower leg by one of the bus tires. The bus driver drove the remaining children back to their school. The accused was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were several children on the bus at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported. The children were released to their parents or guardians without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gione Deswayne WISE, was charged.
