On May 28 at 5:50 AM, officers responded to the McDonald’s located at 17340 Dumfries Road in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a brandishing. An employee of the restaurant reported to police that he and the driver of the vehicle in the drive-through lane were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the driver, later identified as the accused, brandished a firearm at the employee before driving through the lane. At no time were shots fired during the incident. When officers arrived in the area, they located the accused inside his vehicle and took him into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Allyn Anthony SHAW, was arrested.
