On June 24 at 6:57 PM, officers responded to Bar Louie located at 15001 Potomac Town Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate brandishing. As officers were arriving in the area, they were informed the suspect was leaving in a vehicle. Responding officers observed a vehicle matching the description of an involved party and made contact with the driver, later identified as the accused. The investigation revealed the accused and a family member were inside the establishment when they began to argue with the victim, identified as a 34-year-old woman. At one point, the accused left the business and retrieved an item from his vehicle before concealing it on his person and continuing the argument. During the encounter, the accused made a threatening motion toward the victim who believed the accused was in possession of a firearm at that time. At one point, the police were contacted prior to the parties separating. While investigating the incident, officers determined the accused was intoxicated and took him into custody without incident. A firearm was located inside the vehicle. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Mohamed Aweis MUHIDIN, was arrested.
