On March 19 at 1:34 PM, officers responded to the 13500 block of Cridercrest Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a brandishing. The victim, a 42-year old man, reported to police that while in the parking lot of the above area, he and the driver of another vehicle, later identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation. During the altercation, the accused retrieved a machete from his vehicle and brandished it while making threats towards the victim. The parties separated and the victim contacted the police. Prior to police arriving in the area, the accused made additional verbal threats towards the victim before leaving in his vehicle. There was no physical interaction between the victim and the accused during the encounter. While investigating, officers identified the accused as Darryl Thomas WELDON, and obtained warrants for his arrest. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
