On August 13 at 6:05 PM, officers responded to a vacant commercial building located at 14011 Worth Ave. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a death. The caller reported to police that a body was observed behind the building near a trash compactor. The body was in a decomposed state and transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and determination of cause of death. At this time, there is no threat to the community concerning the death. The victim’s identification will be released once confirmed and a next-of-kin has been notified. More information will be released as necessary. The investigation continues.
