Domestic Related Abduction – 3600 block of Hetten Ln in Woodbridge VA

On June 21 at 10:44 PMWilliam Jose COPA, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Hetten Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s phone and pushed her before both parties separated. The accused then destroyed the victim’s phone and her laptop before confronting her in a bedroom where he struck the victim in the face while she was holding their 1-year-old son. The accused forcibly prevented the victim from leaving the bedroom while the altercation continued. The victim was eventually able to leave the room and lock herself in a basement bathroom where she contacted police. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. The child was unharmed. The accused left the residence prior to police arriving on scene. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the accused, identified as William Jose COPA. The accused was arrested the following day without further incident.
