On June 5 at 6:31 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8600 block of Centerton Ln. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic involving a weapon. The victim, identified as a 20-year-old woman, reported to police a verbal altercation with an acquaintance, identified as the accused, escalated when the accused physically prevented her from leaving the room. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim before brandishing a firearm and taking her phone. Eventually, the victim was able to separate from the accused and use the phone of another occupant of the home to contact the police. Responding officers located the accused inside the home and detained him without incident. No injuries were reported by the victim. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jose Antonio SANDOVAL, was arrested.
