On July 13 at 2:38 AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10500 block of Neale Sound Ct. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck. The victim was able to separate from the accused and grabbed his phone to contact the police before leaving the home. The accused followed the victim out of the residence where he then tackled her to the ground and took the phone from her. Another family member contacted the police. The parties separated prior to police arriving at the location. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Aiden Keith THOMPSON, was arrested.
