On June 3 at 12:20 AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Presidential Hill Lp. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, identified as a 14-year-old female juvenile, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim multiple times. When the victim attempted to contact the police, the accused took her phone. The victim ran out of the house, followed by the accused who then tackled the victim and grabbed her throat. The accused physically took the victim back into the home where he prevented her from leaving the room. Eventually, the accused separated from the victim and the police were contacted. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Mikai Grant AZIAN, was arrested.
