On July 3 at 11:59 AM, officers responded to the 10200 block of Portsmouth Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight with weapons. The investigation revealed the victim, identified as a 30-year-old man, and two unknown males were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, one of the males struck the victim and as the altercation continued, the second male began striking the victim. Bystanders intervened and separated the parties. Rescue personnel transported the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers sought a petition against one of the males, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, who was released to a family member. The second male, identified as, Carlos Eliseo AYALA was arrested.
