On January 9 at 12:20AM, officers responded to the area of Henrico St. and Clifton St. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. Upon arriving in the above area, officers located a man, later determined to be the accused, who was intoxicated and suffering from obvious trauma to his head. Rescue personnel responded and transported the accused to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officers determined the accused was at a residence in the 8000 block of Clifton St. prior to the assault. Officers responded to the residence and located a 25-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman who were also intoxicated and suffering from minor injuries. The investigation revealed that the accused and the woman were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the woman with a glass bottle. When the man attempted to intervene, the accused struck him with the bottle as well. A physical altercation between the accused and the male victim ensued before the parties were separated. The accused then walked out of the residence where he eventually encountered the police. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Marco Antonio LOPEZ RAMIREZ. Initial attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful. On April 3, the accused, Marco Antonio LOPEZ RAMIREZ was taken into custody in the Manassas area without incident.
