On July 4 at 11:41 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4700 block of Still Pl. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a fight in progress. Upon arriving in the parking lot of the above area, officers located two men who were injured from the altercation. While investigating the incident, one of the parties involved, identified as a 29-year-old man, was determined to be the victim of the assault, and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. When officers attempted to detain the other man, identified as the accused, he refused to follow the officer’s commands and fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, the accused was taken into custody without further incident. The investigation revealed the two men were involved in an altercation when the accused struck the victim multiple times and grabbed his neck. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Mitchell Adam NICI Jr., was arrested.
