On August 9 at 2:38 PM, officers responded to Covington Harper Elementary School located at 2500 River Heritage Blvd. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a weapon on school property. The investigation revealed the security resident at the school, later identified as the accused, was in possession of firearms and firearm parts while on school grounds. Officers located and took possession of the property without incident. While investigating the incident, officers determined at no point was the firearm brandished or fired on school grounds. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Robert WILSON Jr., was arrested.
