On April 29 at 1:30PM, officers responded to Hampton Middle School located at 14800 Darbydale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate suspicious individuals inside the school. The investigation revealed that four males, possibly juveniles, gained access to the school through a side door. While the suspects walked around the school, they were overheard making threats to shoot up the school. School personnel were eventually informed that there were unknown males inside the school and notified security who secured the school. A short time later, school officials confronted the suspects, they fled out of the school. At no time were any weapons observed or displayed. Officers searched the school and the grounds for the suspects who were not located. Officers remained at the school through dismissal as a precaution.
