On May 27 at 2:28 AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of Fullerton Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. An occupant of the home reported to police that a loud noise was heard and upon checking the residence, damage to the bedroom door was observed. Responding officers located the sole occupant of the bedroom, later identified as the accused, inside the room, unharmed, and detained him without incident. The investigation revealed that the accused was handling a firearm when a round discharged. The round traveled through the bedroom door and lodged in the ceiling of the living room. No injuries or additional property damage was reported. The firearm was recovered by officers and submitted for processing. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Brian Logan WILLIAMS, was arrested.
