On October 19 at 4:00 PM, officers responded to the 13900 block of Mathews Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was getting into his parked vehicle when he observed two unknown masked individuals nearby. During the encounter, the suspects attempted to make contact with the victim who proceeded to get into his vehicle. Upon starting the engine of the vehicle, the victim heard gunshots and observed damage to his rear window. Multiple rounds struck the victim’s vehicle before the victim was able to drive out of the area. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. While checking the area, officers located shell casings in the roadway. The suspects were described as males, possibly juveniles, wearing black ski-style masks and black clothing.
