On October 26 at 4:18 AM, officers responded to the Courtyard Marriot located at 10701 Battleview Pkwy in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. Upon arriving at the hotel, officers observed a 34-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower body. Officers provided immediate first aid until rescue personnel arrived and transported the man to an area hospital where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. The investigation revealed the man, and an acquaintance, was in the parking lot of the hotel when shots were fired, and the victim was struck. The acquaintance fled prior to police arriving at the scene. Officers located shell casings in the parking lot. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. At this time, the incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.
