On June 14 at 10:12 PM, officers responded to the River Oaks Apartments located in the 2900 block of Shumard Oak Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. Upon arriving in the area, officers did not locate the involved parties. While checking the area, officers located multiple unoccupied vehicles that were struck by rounds and an apartment building with damage consistent with being struck by a projectile. The round did not enter an apartment. Officers also located shell casings on the ground in the above area. No victims were located, and no additional property damage was reported.
