Stabbing Investigation | Domestic Related – 10400 block of Bermuda Ln. in Manassas VA

On August 14 at 9:16 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10400 block of Bermuda Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a stabbing. Upon arriving at the residence, officers observed a man suffering from a serious cut to his arm and rendered immediate first aid. Rescue personnel responded and transported the man, later identified as the accused, to an area hospital where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. The investigation revealed the victim, a 34-year-old woman, and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused brandished a firearm and prevented the victim from leaving the room while he threatened her. At some point, the victim retrieved a knife before stabbing the accused who then dropped the firearm. At that time, the parties separated, and the accused went outside of the residence where he encountered police. No additional injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Dominic Pete MARTINEZ, was charged.
