On March 26 at 8:30PM, officers responded to the El Gicarito 2 restaurant located at 10611 Lomond Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 37-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s hair before grabbing her neck. The parties eventually separated, and the victim left prior to police arriving at the establishment. The following day, the victim reported the incident and minor injuries sustained during the altercation, to police. Following the investigation, on March 27, the accused, identified as Jose Manuel BLANCO GONZALEZ, was arrested.
