On August 11 at 2:30 AM, officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at the Barrington Apartments located in the 10600 block of Blendia Ln. in Manassas (20109) earlier that morning. The investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck and pushed her to the ground. While on the ground, the accused physically prevented the victim from getting off the ground or to leave the room. The accused struck the victim multiple times before the victim was able to leave the apartment. The victim went to an area hospital where police were contacted. The victim was treated for nonlife threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as., was arrested.
