On August 29 at 2:40 PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic that was reported to have occurred at the Stone Pointe Apartments located in the 1400 block of Potomac Heights Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) on August 27. The investigation revealed on the morning of August 27, the victim, a 29-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, was involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused got on top of the victim and grabbed her neck. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and fled the apartment. The police were contacted and responded to the above location that morning; however, no crime was reported to the police at that time. The victim reported minor injuries were sustained during the incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Stephane Irenee MAMADY, was arrested.
