On July 10 at 7:10 PM, officers responded to the 16500 block of River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic-in-progress. Upon arriving in the parking lot of a local business, officers located the victim, a 21-year-old woman, with minor injuries. The investigation revealed the victim and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation while driving in the above area. During the encounter, the accused attempted to grab the victim’s phone which led to a struggle before the victim pulled over into a nearby parking lot. The verbal altercation continued and, at one point, both the victim and accused exited the vehicle. The accused then pushed the victim before both parties re-entered the vehicle. Back inside the vehicle, the accused struck the victim who then began to yell. When a bystander intervened, the accused got out of the vehicle with the victim’s phone and walked away. The victim then used the bystander’s phone to contact the police. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Daniel Esteban CASTELLANOS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
