On May 19 at 8:08 PM, officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred in the 2600 block of Moor Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that evening. The victim, a 13- year-old male juvenile, reported to police he was working outside when an unknown male juvenile, later identified as the accused, inquired about additional work. When the victim walked over to the accused to continue the discussion, the accused demanded the victim’s property before striking the victim and knocking him to the ground. While on the ground, the accused continued to strike and kick the victim before taking his property. At one point, the accused separated from the victim and retrieved a metal bar, and began threatening the victim. At that point, the victim notified a family member about the incident who contacted the police. The accused fled the location prior to police arriving in the area. The victim reported minor injuries. During the investigation, officers identified the accused as a 14-year-old male juvenile. On June 2, officers obtained a detention order for the suspect, who turned himself in to the police a few days later.
