On April 22, officers responded to the 17100 block of Old Stage Rd in reference to an individual believed to be sought in connection to the robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Exxon service station located at 17019 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22025) the day prior. When officers arrived, they located the individual, later identified as the accused, and determined he was wanted on several unrelated charges. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he actively resisted and refused the officer’s commands. After a brief struggle, the accused was eventually secured. During the investigation, officers were able to confirm the accused was the suspect in the aforementioned robbery. In addition, during a search of the accused post-arrest, he was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kenneth Robert CLAYTON, was arrested.

Strong-Arm Robbery [Previously Released] – On April 21 at 4:35AM, officers responded to the Exxon service station located at 17019 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a robbery. An employee of the business reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter where he demanded money. The man and employee exchanged words before the man proceeded towards the door. Before exiting the business, the man turned quickly and grabbed money under the partition from the employee prior to fleeing. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.
