On July 16 at 9:53 PM, officers responded to the Food Lion located at 13414 Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed a male and female patron entered the store and began putting items into a cart. The suspects then pushed the cart with the unpaid items towards the exit where they were confronted by an employee. During the encounter, the female suspect struck the employee before both suspects took the unpaid items out of the store. The employee reported minor injuries. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located.
