On September 4 at 11:00 AM, officers responded to Manassas Mall located at 8386 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 48-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were walking inside the mall when a verbal altercation ensued. The encounter escalated when the accused grabbed the victim’s phone from her when she attempted to contact the police. The accused fled the area on foot prior to police arriving at the mall. While checking the area, officers located the accused in the area of Community Dr. where he was taken into custody. While investigating the incident, the accused was found in possession of the victim’s phone. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jaime Gregory BROWN, was arrested.
